How to Upgrade Infinix Hot 4 X557 to Android 7.0 Nougat (Official OTA Update)

As Infinix Mobility earlier promised; they've at last fulfilled their promise and released the official Android 7.0 Nougat update to the Infinix Hot 4 X557 users via OTA (Over The Air). This official update is coming after few months of the Beta 2 update was released but via TF Card method.

Now, Infinix Hot 4 X557 users can now download and install Android 7.0 Nougat update Over the Air without the need to flash with a PC using a software like SP Flash tool or installing via TF Card method.

Steps to Upgrade Infinix Hot 4 X557 to Nougat 7.0 Via OTA (over the air)

Before you proceed, make sure your phone is not rooted (kindly unroot if it's rooted) and make sure you have at least 50% battery charged.

Now follow the below steps:

>> Go to Settings from your phone.
>> Tap on "About Phone".
>> Tap on "System Update".
>> Now, tap on "Download and Install".
>> Then wait for the download to complete
>> Finally, tap on Install
>> Your phone will reboot and welcome you with the new interface of Android 7.0 Nougat.

Make sure you have a strong network and at least 2GB data to download the update or better still, connect to an unlimited Wi-Fi connection.

    Its been 2days that have been upgrading my phone, its not moving. 2% for two days and its going to 100%. Help me out bro. Thus am using Airtel to brows

    1. The update is about 1.5GB. So you need to exercise patient while it download. And you need a fast network to boost the download.

      You can minimize the download and do other things with your phone.

    2. 😂.. I actually used your settings for Tweakware and it took me just 45minutes...sadly enough,the entclass vpn disconnects.. And the interface isn't user friendly.. 😔

  7. Apart from the split screen, And speed, i see no advantage Of upgrading.. Few system apps were removed.. No pre-installed fonts.. Nd d split screen only support few apps nd the apps are mainly the dumb apps.. The update is rekt..

    1. If you wish to update the software, fine; reason why you got an OTA update was because the Beta version is different from the official version.
