Google Set To Move Google+ Hangouts On Air to YouTube Live

Google recently announced publicly that Hangouts On Air will be moving to YouTube Live leaving Google+. Henceforth, all broadcasts made now will be made on YouTube Live and events on Google+ will be discontinued on or before September 12.

Google also added that Google+ events will be available in Read Only extension in Activity Log. While Hangout On Air will also be available on YouTube.

According to the Frequent Asked Questions FAQ, Google's suggestion to broadcasters is to use Slides, which has the same feature, in conjunction with broadcasts. The company also suggests that questions are gathered ahead of time via social media. However, Applause and Showcase will not be moved to YouTube Live, and Google has offered no alternatives.

This is a good move Google took and i think this feature will excite many lovers of Google Hangout. All recorded broadcasts from Hangouts On Air will be archived in YouTube.
