MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM Officially Launched, Rollout Begins

MIUI 9 global stable ROM has been officially launched by Xiaomi, and they have listed the first devices that will get the new ROM update. These devices includes but not limited to Redmi Note 4, Mi Mix 2, Mi Max 2, Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite.

MIUI 9 has been in beta testing for several months. It was introduced in July at an event in China, and now, the stable version will start rolling out to some set of Xiaomi devices.

The new stable ROM comes with cool features which includes Smart App launcher, split screen and App Vault, reachable with a left swipe from the home screen.

The company also boasts that the new UI is as fast as the stock Android on the Xiaomi Mi A1. The company also compares it with Samung Experience 8.1 on the J7 Max and says it is notably faster.

Phones with MIUI 9 will have auto cache clearing, 21 animated icons, bundling notifications and quick replies.

Xiaomi also launched some features targeted specifically at the Indian market. They include sticker set, exclusive theme and 25 customized cards in the calendar for festivals.
