Huawei Honor View 10 Receiving Face Unlock Feature via OTA

Huawei promised to roll out Face Unlock feature to the Honor View 10 device via OTA. The company has fulfilled its promise and rolled out the feature via OTA which will be available to everyone by January 24, 2018.

The Huawei Honor View 10 face unlock feature works like other phones face ID recognition feature. The feature unlocks your phone when you look straight to the screen. If your eyes are closed, it won't unlock your phone.

The face unlock feature only unlocks your phone and won't serve as security for things like online payments.

The exciting thing about this new feature is that, it will detect that you are looking at your screen and it will show the available notifications for you to read them. But if anyone else looks at the screen, the notifications will go hidden.

When looking at the screen, the phone will know you are looking at it and won't turn off the display even if you don't press anything until you stop looking at it. Interesting right? Of course yes.

When looking at the phone, the phone can show the position of your head. Also, if you are lying in bed, the display will not rotate but will maintain the original orientation.

Other things this OTA brings are the option to change the background of your images while using the front camera, motion detection for front and rear camera that detects a moving subject and captures the entire movement and improved AI assisted image enhancement for high powered digital zoom images.
